|My lace collection is growing!|
Lacemaking is an ancient craft that started in the 15th century and it's romantic girly quality makes it timeless. We're talking about pieces that have such intricate detail and completely embody feminine delicacy. The open work fabric is patterned with holes (perfect for peekaboo layering) which are formed via the removal of threads or cloth from a previously woven fabric. The intricate detail comes into focus when you wear an outfit in all one colour - and it's the whites and the creams that are classic! It isn't just hot in my wardrobe, it's hot on the Catwalk too! Dolce Gabanna are our favorites and they have done amazing things with the material!
This is a Topshop number, purchased last summer for a cool £20. Not really sure if you can call it lace on a bag? But the cutout details fit the theme!
